A nonwoven consists of one or more layers of fibers that are kept together by needle-punching or felting. This gives unique properties to the material, like volume and good isolation functionality. Below you will find nonwovens of hemp, cotton and wool. Felts are woolen nonwovens that are made in a wet process. Felting causes the wool to shrink, and as a result it also becomes denser, thicker and more water resistant.
