Sustainable wool
Wool is the most used animal fibre. It is a natural proteine that has much in common with human hair and was already used for textiles in the 5th millennium BC. Wool is renewable, water repellent, flame resistant, odour resistant, breathing, easy to wear and easy to maintain. In many ways wool is a very sustainable fibre. Not only it is 100% biodegradable but because of its high elasticity it doesn’t need to be ironed or only on low temperatures. In addition wool is a fibre that regenerates itself by airing and doesn’t have to be washed very often. For this fabric the advice is to not wash it at all.
