Herringbone weave tape in the natural colour

This densely woven herringbone tape is produced with 100% European hemp. Strong and sturdy it is very suitable for straps on handbags, backpacks, duffle bags or to use directly as a belt. It is about 2 mm thick. Due to its herringbone weave it is still flexible. With a standard width of 12 mm it is suitable for a wide range of applications. The hemp was grown in Europe and also processed and finished there.

This hemp tape has not been dyed, and therefore contains no chemical residues. The natural colour is created only by the natural interplay of sun, rain and earth during the retting process. This also means that differences between lots are possible. One roll contains 50 mtr.

Sustainable hemp

Hemp is considered to be one of the most sustainable textiles known. Under normal conditions the plant doesn't require artificial irrigation during growth, has almost no natural enemies (insects) and therefore needs no treatment with pesticides. Because it grows very fast (up to four meters in just a couple of months) weeds don't stand a chance, don't hamper the growth of the hemp plant and herbicides are not necessary. Hemp is a natural product: it is 100% biodegradable, very strong and has a nice touch and feel.
