Hemp narrow weave 50 mm black

Black tape made from European hemp
This densely woven herringbone tape is produced with 100% European hemp. Strong and sturdy it is very suitable for straps on handbags, backpacks, dufflebags or to use directly as a belt. Due to its herringbone weave it is still flexible so that it can be folded around a seam for example. With a standard width of 50 mm it is suitable for a wide range of applications. The hemp was not only grown in Europe but also processed and finished there. It has been dyed conform the European REACH standard. One roll contains 50 mtr. Samples are available here.

Sustainable hemp

Hemp is considered to be one of the most sustainable textiles known. The plant doesn't require irrigation during growth, has almost no natural enemies (insects) and therefore needs no treatment with pesticides. Because it grows very fast (up to four meters in just a couple of months) weeds don't stand a chance, don't hamper the growth of the hemp plant and herbicides are not necessary. Hemp is a natural product: it is 100% biodegradable, very strong and has a nice touch and feel.
