Densely woven black canvas tape from European hemp

This black canvas tape is woven from European hemp. A strong and sturdy material, very tight and firm, capable of bearing quite some weight and with a high abrasion resistance. It is about 2 mm thick. With a standard width of 25 mm it is suitable for a wide range of applications, i.e. straps on handbags, backpacks or dufflebags. It can also be used directly as a belt.

The hemp was grown in Europe and processed and finished in the EU. It has been dyed with reactive dyes and conform the minimal requirements of the European REACH standard. Perfect for your sustainable product range. A roll contains 50 meters.

Hemp: one of the most sustainable materials

Hemp is considered to be one of the most sustainable textiles known. The plant doesn't require irrigation during growth, has almost no natural enemies (insects) and therefore needs no treatment with pesticides. Because it grows very fast (up to four meters in just a couple of months) weeds don't stand a chance, don't hamper the growth of the hemp plant and herbicides are not necessary. Hemp is a natural product: it is 100% biodegradable, very strong and has a nice touch and feel.
