Densely woven canvas tape from European hemp

This unbleached and undyed canvas tape is woven from European hemp. A strong and sturdy material, very tight and firm, capable of bearing quite some weight and with a high abrasion resistance. It is about 2 mm thick. With a standard width of 50 mm it is suitable for a wide range of applications, e.g. straps on accessories, bindings and interior applications. It is also suitable for semi-industrial applications, like the seating of a chair or couch.

The hemp was grown in Europe, processed and finished there. Perfect for your sustainable product range. 
The natural colour is the unique result of the interplay between rain, sunshine and earth during the retting process. Therefore different batches may show slight colour differences. A roll contains 50 meters.

Why hemp adds sustainability to your collection

Hemp is considered to be one of the most sustainable textiles known. The plant doesn't require irrigation during growth, has almost no natural enemies (insects) and therefore needs no treatment with pesticides. Because it grows very fast (up to four meters in just a couple of months) weeds don't stand a chance, don't hamper the growth of the hemp plant and herbicides are not necessary.
