This coarse single ply yarn is spun from long hemp and wool fibres which makes this yarn very strong and suitable for weaving firm and dense fabrics. It could for example be used in a plain woven canvas for making interior fabrics and accessories. The eco-friendly dyeing and spinning is done in Europe.

Origin of the material
The hemp fibres from which this yarn was spun are sourced in China, the woolen fibes are a blend of different regions. Spinning and eco-friendly dyeing is done in Europe.

Ecology
Hemp is a relatively easy to grow plant, which has hardly any natural enemies and does not need much water. The plant is therefore cultivated almost everywhere without using herbicides or insecticides. The Asian hemp varieties are smaller than the European but also grow very fast, so that weeds do not get the possibility to develop.
