Two-ply yarn of 100% hemp in a black colour. The hemp is grown in Europe and the yarn has a slightly irregular structure. The yarn is strong, feels a bit stiff and has a thickness of appr. 1 mm. The weight indicated in number metric (Nm) means that 2,5 meters of yarn weighs 1 gram. A cone weighs 1 to 1,5 kilos and the yarns are dyed with reactive dyes. Because of the use of different fiber batches the colour is not always solid, it looks like a melange effect. This yarn can be used for weaving strong canvasses or ribbons.
