Tinctorial Textiles - Vegetably dyeing blue
Tinctorial Textiles is a new step in the research of natural colours, taken by Ecological Textiles and design studio Raw Color. A palette of thirteen colours has been created and executed in semi translucent organic wool. The overlap of these panels blends the colours into new shades. The applied dyes are especially developed.
The blue shades in this colour palette are derived from indigo. The indigo is either extracted from the woad or from the indigo plant. The saturation or intensity of the colour is indicated with a percentage, in this case Indigo 10%.
