Clothing comfort
Cotton is relatively flexible, it is very comfortable, feels soft on the skin and can absorb up to 20% of water without feeling wet. Organic cotton fabrics are produced eco-friendly and are also skin-friendly.
Origin of the material
The organic cotton was grown in the Turkish districts near the Aegean Sea (so called Aegean cotton). Turkey has a large cotton industry and the cotton was spun and knitted there in GOTS-certified factories, thus limiting the carbon footprint.
Ecology
This fabric in a lavender colour is GOTS certified. GOTS is the leading standard for organic textiles, and fabrics carrying the GOTS label represent the ultimate in ecological and sustainable production. It assures you that the cotton from which this fabric was made was grown organically, without using insecticides or pesticides. In addition it is your assurance that the most ecological and socially responsible methods have been used throughout the entire production process. This means amongst (many) other things:
- no GMO
- no harmful chemicals
- no child labour
- no dyes or inks that have been classified as allergenic
