ORGANIC COTTON SWEAT FABRICS have become very popular for making streetwear and loungewear, because they are soft, have good isolation properties and a comfortable stretch. The fabrics are 'suitcase-proof', easy washable and cheaper than wool while also offering a high comfort. Sweat is a knitted fabric made with two or three yarnsystems and different yarncounts. The base is a fine, tightly twisted yarn, you will see this mainly on the front side. The back has a more fluffy, soft twisted thicker yarn that can be brushed. In some fabrics there is also a very thin third yarn to add some extra 'body' and stability to the construction.

The ORGANIC COTTON SWEAT FABRICS from ECOLOGICAL TEXTILES are distinguished by their softness, strength, good water absorbing capacity and their high wearing comfort. We offer both unbrushed and brushed sweats fabrics in nice colours and in weights between 260 gr/m2 and 410 gr/m2. A total of seven different qualities.

These organic cotton sweat fabrics are made from Aegean organic cotton, grown and produced in Western Turkey, near the Aegean Sea. Turkey has an important cotton industry and the cotton from this region is well known for its high quality, fiber length and beautiful colour. All organic cotton sweatshirt fabrics are GOTS certified.

Samples

You can order separate samples of each fabric on each product page. We also made sample sets in which samples of resembling fabrics are brought together. There are three sets with samples of organic cotton sweat fabrics. The first set includes samples of each quality, the other two contain samples of unbrushed and brushed sweat fabrics.
