Medium weight single jersey from hemp and organic cotton

Soft-touch single jersey made from hemp and organic cotton (55/45%) in an offwhite color. With a weight of 200 gr/m2, this innovative blend is suitable for making non-transparant T-shirts.The hemp comes from North China, the organic cotton from India. The fabric is knitted in China in a factory that is affiliated with the Fair Wear Foundation.
This blend of natural fibers represents the best of two worlds. Hemp is one of the strongest natural fibers. It feels pleasant, can be worn directly on the skin, has good anti-bacterial and UV-resistant properties and is 100% biodegradable. Organic cotton is soft, feels very pleasant on the skin. Hemp and organic cotton are both grown organically, without the use of chemical insecticides or pesticides.

Clothing comfort

Fabrics from hemp and organic cotton are very suitable for apparel. Hemp doesn’t enclose much air and has relatively poor insulation properties. Fabrics with hemp feel fresh and cool, a distinct advantage for summer clothing. In addition hemp is highly absorbent, it takes up water rapidly and also releases it quickly. On hot days this helps in regulating the microclimate between body and clothing. Organic cotton is soft, comfortable and is affordable. Both fibers are well supported when worn directly on the skin.
