WOVEN FABRICS OF LINEN

About 85% of the world flax is grown in Western Europe, and that is where our linen comes from. It is grown in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. We have sub-divided the fabrics we offer in two categories: GOTS certified organic linens and 'conventional' linens that are not certified as such. In both categories you will find lighter qualities that can be used for fashion and heavier qualities for interior applications.

ORGANIC LINEN

Organic linen fabrics from very fine light weights to heavy canvas. The flax from which these fabrics are made was grown organically.

CONVENTIONAL LINEN

Conventional means that the linen comes from flax that was not grown organically. It is of course a natural fiber, biodegradable and recyclable. Even when grown conventionally, flax - under normal conditions - doesn't require irrigation and little or no treatment with herbicides or pesticides.
