Damask made of 100% linen, a unique fabric woven in Europe. The fabric has a floral design, a rose motif woven with a white warp and a white weft. Despite the use of uni coloured yarns for warp and weft, the motif can still be seen, but it is very subtle of course. This sturdy 100% linen fabric is ideally suited for making curtains and table linen. The cloth can also be used for festive clothes, jackets, and costumes. The fabric is woven in a satin weave, which gives it a soft lustre. The linen was made from flax that was grown and spun in Europe.
Originally, damask consisted of only one colour and the motif was realised solely through the use of different weaves. However, this damask is woven using a jacquard weaving machine, a technique in which each warp thread in the fabric can be moved separately.
